Now, I don't know about you but I can safely say that this New Year has been one of the coldest I can remember! At times like this most of us forget about fashion and pick out those reliable comfy trousers, boots and big coat going for practicality and warmth over style. Fall/Winter 2009-2010 catwalks was a favorite of mine because of the sheer amount of staple pieces to choose from.Many of us tend to forget about colour in winter opting for earthy tones, grey and black. Whilst they can still look great colour should not be forgotten. Rest assured I will show you that you CAN still look nonchalantly fabulous without compromising practicality or comfort. With Textured Knitwear it would seem like the words frumpy or dowdy spring to mind but if worn in the right way can look very stylish! Whether you choose to wear one of the array of jumper dresses out there or opt for a long chunky cardigan (a personal favorite)your sure to look the part. That's just why i love fashion so much! It can be whatever we want it to be. It's a statement, it's bold, it's look-good and feel-good. Tell me you have never had a bad day at work or at home and just buying those gorgeous shoes, bag or item of clothing you have been eyeing up like, forever hasnt filled you with such joy and excitement!.......I know you have!! To me thats exactly what fashion should be about. the joy and excitement of not just the purchasing but wearing something that you not only feel confident in but love the way you look in it too! Now it doesn't take the bank balance of Kate Moss to hit fashion trades on the nose (although her bank balance would be greatly appreciated) A bit of creativity and imagination can be all you need to get by!
